What is a firewall?
A Firewall
prevents that hackers, computer viruses and other dangerous programs can access
your computer via the internet.
A
firewall must, like every protection software, be updated at regular times, this
to
provide more information about newer threats.
Firewall
programs are more difficult to work with then anti virus programs. Because you need
to setup exceptions for certain situations/connections.
There
are a few programs that does this automatically for you, there is a small risk
that malware will also be installed during the updates.
